Since we weren’t really adjusted to Maui time yet Mark and I were up at about 7am and decided to go for a run along the beach! We ran from our hotel to the cliff diving rock at the end of our beach and then we rock climbed around the lava and stuff for about an hour and discovered an awesome cave that made the coolest indescribable noise when the waves crashed into it. We sat there and just listened to it for a few minutes, could have stayed there all day! Once we got back to the hotel we had some delicious 9am breakfast beers and then started our day with the family! We found D.T. Flemming Beach park which had the best waves for body surfing and boogie boarding! We went back to this beach like 5 times. That evening we had reservations at the Old Lahaina Luau, all you can eat and all you can drink!!
wave selfies lol Down the windy road from DT flemming is Honolua Bay, boats full of people go there every day to snorkel its a very calm bay with zero waves or current so it’s great for EVERYONE even the not-so-strong swimmers. You can also drive to a make-shift parking lot and then hike through the jungle (literally) for a few minutes and get right to the beach.
